Achievements and Milestones

Since its establishment, TERAJU has successfully generated RM146.32 billion for the Bumiputera business community, facilitated RM14.79 billion in private investments through the Dana Mudah Cara, and achieved RM10.07 billion in market capitalisation from the listing of Bumiputera companies on Bursa Malaysia.

Building on these financial milestones, TERAJU has also introduced key initiatives such as the Skim Usahawan Permulaan Bumiputera (SUPERB). Launched in 2014, SUPERB is designed to bridge the economic gap by encouraging greater Bumiputera participation in the entrepreneurial space. The programme provides start-ups with the opportunity to have their innovative ideas recognised, funded, and developed, ultimately contributing to Malaysia’s broader economic goals.

To be eligible
  • Start-ups must have been operational for less than three (3) years
  • Present a creative solution that aligns with SUPERB's focus across key sectors.
Key Sectors
These key sectors represent areas with the potential to generate growth, such as the digital economy, finance, tourism, manufacturing, food and agriculture, security, construction, aerospace, logistics, and sustainable transportation.

At TERAJU, we believe that empowering Bumiputera entrepreneurs will not only elevate the socioeconomic status of the community but also reinforce Malaysia’s standing in the global economy.

Cultural Identity and Innovation
  • We encourage Bumiputera entrepreneurs to embrace their unique cultural identity and develop innovative business ideas rooted in local values and traditions, creating products and services that stand out due to their distinctiveness.
Integrity as a Foundation
  • We maintain strong ethical standards to enhance the start-ups' credibility, attracting more local and international investors, partners, and customers.
Inclusion in Economic Growth
  • Nurturing and supporting Bumiputera entrepreneurs could potentially lead to a more inclusive economy, ensuring all segments of society participate in and benefit from the country's economic growth. Inclusivity in the economy will strengthen the wider start-up ecosystem through diversity in ideas, leadership, and economic contributions.
Building Global Competitiveness
  • Fostering Bumiputera entrepreneurs' identity and integrity through skills development, access to funding, and global market exposure can help them enter global markets with strong business foundations and unique offerings.
Sustainability of the Ecosystem
  • The integrity and identity of participants are central to a healthy and successful start-up ecosystem. Empowering Bumiputera entrepreneurs will ensure the sustainability and growth of start-ups, with the prospect of global expansion while staying rooted in strong local principles.
